Tyre Bead Stripping Machine |
| |
Hydraulic
operation for stripping bead wire from tires. |
| |
|
| |
|
Fully
operational unit complete with all hydraulics, the machine
strips the bead wire via a hard edged hooked sword.
The bead is pulled with a force of over 4 tonnes, back
through a pair of hardened stripper plates, leaving
little or no rubber attached to wire. Wire is highly
saleable as removed.
Process is by single stroke actuation, capacity includes
passenger car size through to 4 x 4 & light
truck tyres. |

Bead
Pulling Features
Hard
faced & toughened hooked sword, to promote high
strength with wear resistance. Designed to pull tough
bead wire without breaking the wires during extraction
process.
|
| |
The
fully hardened stripper jaws, are hinged outward.
On the bead pulling stroke, they remain closed
as shown, with small operating clearance, bead
wire is extracted leaving virtually all rubber
attached to the tyre casings. Plates are low cost
replacement items, being fully reversible, thousands
of tyres may be debeaded per set. These may be
manufactured locally. |

Operating
features
Tire
loading & positioning is accomplished with
the hinged platten as shown in picture. Height
of lifted tyre is controlled by proximity switch,
preset to present bead at correct distance to
enable hooked sword to latch onto bead. Once
wire is pulled the platten drops to discharge
tyre. Lifting is controlled by single Festo
pneumatic cylinder equipped with controlled
flow restrictors.
Platten unit may be swapped for other designs
to cater for any style to suit other applications.
Although constructed for the express purpose
of bead wire removal, other applications with
appropriate shaped jaws would be well handled
by this equipment.

Machine
as depicted is set up primarily to be operated from
a platform level. Platform shown is included in package,
other platforms & decks are available, all are constructed
at a matching height.
Control of the debeading sword is via the lever operated
control, as is shown at the near upper left corner of
machine. This control is may easily be mounted elsewhere,
according to specific needs or convenience. |

Power
Pack
Power
pack as shown in this picture overhauled prior
commissioning. This unit, in conjunction with
the 4” bore cylinder, generates over 4t.
of useable energy at the sword.
All electrics are included. A master enclosure
with all relays & master switch is attached.
All push buttons, all hoses are included.
Available also is a water cooled heat exchanger
unit if required. This heat exchanger is for non
stop production operation for on line cooling
of the hydraulic oil as circulated.
